We are entering a time where mental health care and well-being is more vital than ever before. I have always been fascinated with authentic human connection so it is important that the relationships I have with my clients feel safe, transparent, genuine, and empathetic.

I’ve worked with lots of different kinds of people: young children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, family dynamics, and trauma

I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the College of Charleston and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University in New Orleans. After graduating I began working as a clinician within the juvenile justice system in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. There I worked with families intertwined in the system, incorporating psycho-education and mental health counseling as a way to lower incarceration rates in the community and help people build more meaningful and fulfilling lives. Many of my clients were directly affected by Hurricane Katrina, which further allowed me to see the long-lasting effects of trauma in individuals and communities from a mental, physical, and psychological standpoint. I engaged in the startup of Project Peaceful Warriors, which brings trauma informed care to students in schools across the Greater New Orleans area.

Being raised in the Carolinas, I was happy to return to South Carolina to work with Youth Architects and South Carolina Youth Advocacy Program. I provided individual therapy to children and their families. In 2019, I joined the Medical University of South Carolina as a clinician providing therapy to the students. I also worked with students and faculty on problems such as burnout, stress management, anxiety, grief and loss. In 2022, I joined Fig Therapy full-time and worked alongside Blake Blakenbecler providing therapy to folks in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2024, I decided to take the leap to launch my own practice which is Sol Holistic Psychotherapy. I am grateful I get to continue to work with clients navigating through life transitions, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, and traumatic experiences. I offer in- person and virtual appointments. I am currently accepting new clients.

hi, i’m chloe

Chloe Kingery
Licensed Professional Counselor, MS, LPC
Owner of Sol Holistic Psychotherapy

I earned my undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Citadel. During my clinical training, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of therapeutic settings, including the Medical University of South Carolina, where I provided care to individuals navigating a wide range of mental health challenges. My clinical experience includes working with adults facing depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and significant life stressors, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum and those with other neurodevelopmental conditions.

I have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse clients and am passionate about creating a therapeutic environment that is flexible, inclusive, and attuned to individual needs. At the same time, my training and background allow me to work effectively with clients from all walks of life. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, and I strive to meet each client where they are—offering support as they process emotions, navigate transitions, and move toward personal growth and meaningful change. I offer individual sessions for neurodivergent and neurotypical  adults and teens who may also be navigating anxiety, depression, emotion regulation challenges, or life transitions. I deeply understand how hard it can be to find a therapist who truly “gets it”—someone who won’t pathologize your differences or make assumptions. I aim to create a warm, affirming space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported just as they are.

This is a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all genders, backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and communities. Here, diversity is not only respected but celebrated. I invite you to show up fully and authentically—without fear of judgment—as we work together toward greater understanding, self-compassion, and healing.
